Id rather r3v a car every 5 years on a track then just look at one and never take it to a track or use it. Grow a pair and quit acting like what I'm doing is dangerous, get on on a track or something and quit bitching, or are your shined up bumpers and weaves to precious?

sooo street racing isnt dangerous? im just trying to make sure i understand that.

p.s. i really dont care what you do. Also, you can only attack someones sig picture so many times. you should pull a standard r3v mood about now and go after the grammar.

I passed a newish toyota taco V6 auto on an onramp in my 87 325i :?

Cabrios are heavier and all and the M20 isn't exactly a fountain of power, but a 1.6 Miata? Really?

I go to the drag strip and pass many fast cars. It's one of the perks of having a 13-second E30.

is threadstarter really a douche or just funny?
i've yet to meet the people here, lol.

i know a guy who worked on late '80s-early '90s toyota's (corollas, celicas, and supras) and he surprised the shit out of me with the speed he could get out of any of them. i don't know anything about them stock, but i would assume they have some sort of potential.

Actually, no, that was me. I just posted it in this thread for the hell of it as i had just gotten home.

The guy was all up on my ass on the offramp, and we sat at the Left turn lights next to each other.

Two sweeping lanes left, onto the 3 lane overpass. Just in case, I held 2nd gear and sure thing, the guy stomps on it once we straighten out after the turn.

So, he had the jump on me, but I stayed even with his mirror thru 55. That boat really rocks between shifts.

I actually rarely do shit like that anymore. I've become quite the waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles since my high school drag racing years. For one, to avoid tickets, and two, i'm afraid of breaking something. I'd feel better about it if i broke it at the track or something instead of fooling around in a car that really isn't that fast anyways (straight line).

I don't think so. He was just a poor shifter, and i got good use of the 4.10 diff. I'm sure if we kept going, he would've pulled away, though.

But being even 15-55mph with an E60 530i/6 sounds doable, don't you think?

I think he meant that rThor was fucking with you.

Did they even make a 6-speed manual in the E60 530i? I wasn't aware of that, not a bad little car if they do make it.

                        Ahh, I see.

                        Actually, not sure. Could've been 5spd i guess. I just assumed 6.

No kidding. If those punks had kept the hammer down, they just might have broken the speed limit before the next light.
