    Mounting front license plates

Whelp, the time has come. I just got my Cali plates yesterday, only took me six months :p

I realized promptly that apparantly my washington plates were just drilled through and screwed right in to the Euro Mount, is there a better/cleaner way of modifying a plate or mounting a plate with euro trim?

Just buy a plate frame. The frame screws onto the car, and the plate clips into the frame. No drilling, and no screws showing.

Man up and rock that shit in your windshield. Pay the tickets.

Sorry I know this isn't the answer you want to hear.

There is no difference in how the plate mounts with or without Euro trim...

The metal bracket bolts to the bumper and the plate screws on to the bracket.

You're supposed to have them here in Illinois, but I've never put them on.

Just tell the cop you've just finished some bodywork or something, usually works. I've yet to get a ticket for it.

I just got a ticket for no front plate in IL, after not having one on any of my cars for about the past 4 years.

On the E30, I just drilled some new holes into the plate to line up with the ones already on the bumper. Took all of 5 minutes and works perfectly.

That is retarded. I would think that a person would be more likely to get a ticket if it were in the windshield than if they didn't have one at all. It looks like shit and draws attention.
