one of my friends got a 85' eta for $250 running and driving

$1800 for a decent late model E30 is stupid cheap...you got really lucky.

OP: BRING A MAGNET!!! You really need to look for bondo. Look for excess shims in the door hinges, too.

I'm starting to think it's a better candidiate, its like 2.5 the price but I'd probably end up around what he's asking to get the black one into this kind of shape. Asking $4k, has h&r/bilstein, m3 offset cabs, ssk, i think a intake/chip/exhaust, modestly upgraded brakes, strut brace, 170k miles, meticulous maintenance. My main beef is its not an iS so I lose the LSD and sport seats. Also has a completely broken driver's seat. He's asking $4k. Thoughts?
