Anytime you're faced with a speeding ticket, do whatever you can to make sure it's a felony violation. This entails being written up for at least 25 over, or anything above 85mph (in AZ, don't know about other states). Though this sounds counter-productive, a felony charge earns you the right to a real trial and the legal defenses associated therewith, as well as placing the burden of proof on the state--for misdemeanor speeding, you must prove your innocence, which is significantly harder.

Next time the cop nails you for +20, hoof the throttle and see if you can eek out the other 5 mph.

I got a ticket tonight for doing 85 on the freeway, which is a 65 MPH zone. How much is this going to run me? $300 with traffic school? Awesome.
