A Cool thing at a local scrap yard...

Hey guys long time no post, there is no E30 content in this thread but I thought some of you could appreciate this. I found a Lagunengrun Metallic E36 318i at the junkyard and my buddy was looking for a couple parts to finish up his car. He asked what model it was, i told him it was the 4 cyl 318...he pops the hood and says nope its a V8. I walked around to the front and sure enough it was a Chevy 350 someone dropped in haha. It was an incomplete swap however cool nontheless. Pics:

You can also see a Volvo Bertone 260 in the background.

yea we had thought about that, and looking at them it looks like some shade tree hick setup, like a bent ~ piece of metal...im sure it would work temporarily for someone to mock up but the lsx/ltx motors are completely different as to how they mount.

Looks like it has a factory aluminum intake. And the mounts can be used on the LT1/LT4 motors too.

That looks like a second gen small block. The first gen had the oil fill on the front of the intake.

what? All the 350's ive ever had from 80's up till my 97 yukon has had the oil fill on the valve covers....mostly left side looking at the accessory pulleys with the breather on the back of the left bank...

You're thinking of the 55-67 small blocks.
