Which Yakima bar mounts are preferred, the 1A or Q30 clips? It appears that the Q clips are more common for use with the e30, but they are discontinued and Yakima now only sells the 1A mounts. Is there a reason for this? Which option is "better"?
1A Towers for sure. Q towers use a pad that sits on the roof and clips that grab the underside of the door frame, whereas the 1A is just a standard rain gutter tower. Way sturdier and easier to use.
