    BMW STEP

Ok, after talking with my dad, we both concluded that i HATE college, and will probably not be going after the end of this semester. We started talking about mechanics and other things like that, and we both mentioned BMW STEP. What are the processes to get into a BMW mechanics school? Ryan? anybody?

    *cough* porsche *cough*

My cousin went to a huge racing mechanics school in NC (where all of the nascar mechanics train). You can get picked up by a lot of motorsport divisions of car companies there if you're a good mechanic.

You just enroll. It's like $25k per year or some rediculous amount. I think it's a 2-year program. It's a HUGE school. My cousin works for a nascar team now. The tems know who are the best students/mechanics there and they'll hire you onto their team when you're done.

I'm heading on this same route.
I'm almost positive that you need to go to some type of automotive school to be considered for STEP. Go to the STEP website and there is a list of schools that they accept students from. I'm actually doing a BMW-specific 2 year program at Mass Bay Community College right now, and I will apply for STEP next year.

25k is a ridiculous amount try going to embry-riddle and paying out the ass with 40k a year

It's an automotive school, not an aerospace one... jackass.
