    Aftermarket Tach on E30

I've searched high and low to find a thread but have come up with nothing, my tach is dead and I'm tired of screwin with it, has anybody wired up some aftermarket tach? Is there anything special that needs to be done?
    Thanks.

Well there are two aftermarket tachs that I know of but both are used on my other cars. Defi sports cluster and the other Top Secret (Jap tuning company uses as well as the koenigsegg CCX earlier version not the 09. There both very nice an extremely accurate. The Defi is 1k-1600 usd an the other I've seen on ebay for around 800-2400 so it's all just finding it. There both very basic gauges but here's the defi just incase you are intrested.

Here's the one in the CCX ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGP3ZQrKhE0 (Clear shot at 1:51 and another after he does the run)

    Here's is the Defi ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsI2ZgRmvFg

These are both VERY adaptable to tons of various cars so the install should not be too hard for either if you do.

I've tried everything short of swapping in a new cluster, everything else works fine and I don't care that much to just bolt a new tach to the side or wherever, it's just a autox/track rat
