    Alternator not charging E36 M52

    Hi,

I've got an issue with my alternator not charging with my M52. It's out of an E39 and I'm running an aftermarket ECU, I've hooked the blue "idiot light" up to pin 25 "Alternator Charging +12v" on the X20 port which turns the battery light on, on the dash and supplies 12v to the pin 2 (little blue wire) on the back of the alternator. I've also tried hooking Terminal 15 (ignition switch 12v) up to the pin 1 (green and white wire) on the back of the alternator so both pins get 12v but I still get <12v on battery while car is running. Is it possibly a bad alternator or am I missing something?

Edit: I've also checked my engine ground is good and B+ on the back is good. Probing B+ on the back to ground returns same battery voltage of <12v. Battery is also brand new and tested good.

    Cheers
    Ashton
