After doing some suspension parts my 1990 325i wouldn’t start. Jumping the fuel pump relay worked and the pumped started. After switching the relays next to each other I got it to start. Assumed it was the relay, which at this time it seems like it was, now with a new relay the pump won’t start at all and jumping it doesn’t do anything either. Can someone thoroughly explain to me how to test the power at the connector to the pump as well as maybe a way to figure out if the pumped is bad? Also the connector to the pump has always been brittle and cracked but now it seems as though it’s a bit melted. Any insight?
