What was the reaction of the girl who hit you? How did treat the accident? Did she try to blame it on you? Or was she accepting the entire thing ... etc ... give us the story of the aftermath.

well she did the typical..."i'm so sorry, i didn;t see you" line, pretty resonable, really shooken up by the fact of what she just did. i didn't hear her admit actual guilt, but who know...i got a business card immenditly handed to me by a witness. so that is going to help me a lot. Me and my friend being extremly easy going, we were making cracks on how i did no damage to the chev van although my car is clearly a write off...she was quite pissed that we found humor in this.
oh well...i'll keep u guys updated as the claim goes on.

No offense Kristin but its just the way it is. Most women dont treat a car as a 3000lb weapon and tend to focus more on what is going on inside the car than outside. Its pretty apparent when you look inside a womans car. Its usually decorated like a house but more than half couldnt tell you any feature about the outside. I used to get so nervous riding with my girlfriends because they would either be so busy talking on the phone or talking to me that there were MANY close calls. Far to many.

The problem is I know this girl honestly didnt see him, she couldnt have because she wasnt even looking where she was driving.

Good luck with getting the money Cam, the sucky part is I know you wont get what you have in the car in money alone. Even if you would there is still the bitch of finding temp transportation and getting a new car.

i was in the back of my freinds eclipse last night and she was tail gating people, riding their ass all the way on and off the highway, down the streets, music blaring at unintelligible levels.

the two chicks up front thought it was fine.. finally i was like 'HEY, YOU FUCKING SUCK AT DRIVING, STOP FUCKING TAILGATING PEOPLE YOU DUMB waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles'

and she was like 'why is that a bad thing'?

because you're endangering not only my life, but your lives, and the lives of the people in front of you. stop fucking doing it, its annoying, its unsafe, and its a shitty driving technique. just fucking STOP. they both looked at me like i was crazy.

i swear to god, female drivers are morons.

First off, and i should have said this before, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.
Your car was beautiful. I hope with the money you get out of it, you are able to get another that you are even more thrilled with. But as nice as that would be, I am sure it doesn't make this any less painful right now. Good luck to you.

Secondly, regardless of the women driver bashing on here, it is good to see a community of predominantly young male drivers taking driving so seriously. In MY experience, it has not been women drivers, it has been young drivers in general that seem to not have a respect for the massive machine they are driving around at the speed of light. Good driving comes two ways, with YEARS of experience, or with a learned respect. It is nice to see that many of you have this respect for yourselves, others on the road and your cars at such a young age. (I am still shocked that so many of you wear your seat belt) edit: Which is a GOOD thing...

Don't be so quick to get pissed at women drivers. My father was in a huge wreck with a semi, because he had the nose of the caddie out too far while making a left hand turn. My e30 was backed into by its previous owner who was coming out of his own driveway, the e30 was no where near where it would have been in danger of getting hit, he just wasn't paying attention. And then some ass driving a new Benz the other day at the preschool. He would pull in to a parking space, talk to someone then minutes later pull out and squeal his tires as he flew off down the parking lot to the other side of the building. Only to come back and repeat the process 3 times in order to talk to different people. There were tons of 2 to 5 years olds walking the parking lot with their moms and nannies heading to their cars. It was a huge show of testosterone. Or maybe he just didn't know how to drive a stick. WHO knows. These are just a handfull of the 'bad driver' expiriences that I have had. Some of the others, yes, have been women.

I realize there has been a lot of awful experiences with women drivers on this forum. And I am not really all that offended that you guys believe it to be a genetic defect we carry. That is your opinion. But men have issues too. I am just glad that most of you here seem to have a good head on your shoulders when it comes to driving safely.
