And to answer the question from earlier, Worldpac is the giant auto parts wholesaler in the US (maybe more places). It's where just about all the online distributor get their OEM type parts and a lot of local guys get parts from them too. They do have a website, but no, you can't buy from them. They only work with dealers (last time I checked).1987 E30 325is

I was having some issues with their billing system after a move (cc address didn't match billing address, or something), and I had to manually authorize my payments for a few orders - they got to know me by name. I also like that they're nearby, so ground shipping is 1 day. Their prices aren't always competitive, but they have a 10% BMWCCA discount, and they offer a decent selection of upgraded aftermarket parts. My only real complaint is that the product descriptions on their website could use more detail, although I haven't run into a parts site yet where that isn't true. It can be hard to figure out what will fit a graymarket car and what wont... They could also use a wider selection of OEM parts and hardware.
I added this to front page thanks

From his sig.
WorldPac is a large scale Wholesale outfit that supplies repair shops.
would blunt get annoyed of everyone pm'ing him to get their parts and arguingon a better price?

Originally posted by BenM View Post+1, just placed a big order with them last week and there prices were great.
I've bought from quite a few vendors listed above and have always been treated well.
One other place I know people have had good service from - -http://www.rockauto.com
I added rock auto to the front page but it seems a bit complicated to navigate to make a large order for parts.

whats the turn around time for the parts through him?
seems reputable source

I still think I'm going to go ahead and purchase the parts through fap99

Originally posted by Jon325i View PostI marked local. A guy that runs a BMW/Porsche shop gets his stuff through WorldPac so I get things pretty cheap. It may not be as cheap as some online sources, but at least I can do the transaction in-person and he's accommodating should I have to return something. Plus, I like to give my business to the local guy whenever possible.
Jon
I'm glad to hear giving business to the little guy.
keeping the mom and pop shops open in this economy is key.

BMA, if I call them before 1-2pm their time usually has my order out that day.
Sometimes its a few days before it ships because I ask for weird stuff they don't have stocked, like front subframe bolts for instance.
Jon325i, nice! I need to find a local guy to get a deal on stuff, people around here go "BMW" and parts go skyward. I used to give all my motorcycle business to a local shop and got fantastic treatment out of them because I dropped so much money there on a regular basis.Need parts now?
