Find the part number on realoem or bmwfans.info and order it. I had no problem ordering it last year for the same reason ;)

I busted those same brackets a few days ago, a quick trip to the junkyard did it for me

i just bought #1 off pelican, it's the part you listed, despite it not looking correct in the picture (it's straight in the picture, angled in real life...). spring for new bushings while you have the alternator off, mine were toast. #2 is the power steering tensioning bracket, i don't see it on pelican.

you need to be using www.realoem.com for the part numbers, make a list and email or read it to pelican or BMA

i've used realoem to help me put stuff back together too, thats how much i use it

One piece of advice, if you put on a new bracket, get the little gear as well. They get worn pretty easily.

heh, great, just discovered last night that I need the PS bracket as well... Anyway, if you're in a bind and just want to get the car going, I found you can just push down on that bracket (on the outside edge, with the mounting nut loose) to tighten the belt, and then tighten the adjusting nut while you continue to apply pressure to the bracket. I was able to get the belt pretty tight that way, and it'll hold me over until I can get that bracket.
