Trying to make a IX work in 2026 is more difficult because you're dealing with NLA parts everywhere especially Suspension and brakes, Rust isn't that hard to repair considering we have tons of information here and on the internet for the most common and unusual spots for rust on these cars! However you need to watch out for chassis rust where the floor lays on top of the rail because it can rot out in 2 years without attention if driven on salt or stuff gets jammed in there among other areas like floor pans and rockers/rear arches. The 325e is a great bargain these days so I highly recommend it. For me I can't wait to repair my 318i's rust issues and get it to a good driver' but try to buy a car from an area with no salt ideally! Cheers
