i took my 928s to the dyno this morning... results inside

i went to the dyno only expecting about 300rwhp.

    i have 18-yr old (200kmi) cats
my supercharger is old and the teflon coating came off the rotors
    running on 91-pump gas

    I ended up with...

    311.7 rwhp @ 6250rpm
    305.7 rwtq @ 3650rpm

which should equate to around 368hp @ the flywheel. The car had 288hp stock. That's an 80hp increase using a roots blower @ 4psi. Not bad if you ask me...

    AFR was a solid 11.5 - 12.0

I did 3 runs back-to-back with not more than a couple minutes rest. Car wasn't even sweating. I really like how my hp curve is very smooth... no dips. You'll also notice i did 3 runs and they were all consistent. I couldn't be happier.

    Sure is consistent. Nice.

you gotta see it with wide tires on. i had some 265 drag slicks out back for a month or so... they make the car look MEAN.

Spencer, is the 944 driveable if not what is keeping it from the roads?

Is Devek still in business? They have a killer setup for the 928 32v.

Devek is still in business. Their 928 is stroked to 6.4L. YEs, they are making some SERIOUS power, but it takes OVER a year to get a stroker motor built from them.

None of the "big 3" (928intl, devek, 928specialist) really sell blower kits, but a couple representatives from 928intl and 928specialist have defiantely taken a liking to the twin-screw setup.

In fact, I even wanna go as far to say that the guys @ devek don't like blowers and think that they are garunteed to ruin a car - but at the price to get a stroker motor from them, you can buy 2 supercharged 928s.

So far, the centrifugal blower guys hold the record in forced induction power at around 512rwhp.... but that's also @ about 11-12psi where they have blown headgaskets before.

I'm part of the twin-screw tribe (I was neighbors with the designer of the twin-screw kit). With both kits making the exact same boost, the centrifugal setup has something like 5rwhp more on top end, and we have about 37rwhp more at low-mid RPM. You guys saw my torque curve, I don't think I need to mention anything more about that...

I'm actually putting the twin-screw kit on my car tonight or tomorrow (currently have roots). I am expecting at least 400rwhp with an even better torque curve... i mean, torque LINE.
