Thank you good sir, I will patiently await the official thread!

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

I have 4 VERY hi-res shots of that car, if anyone's interested.

Josh, great shots of the car. Those appear to be fairly current shots of the car, based on the helmet winglets on the driver seat.

Over the years these cars have lead hard lives. They usually started out built for official BMW Motorsport teams (Schnitzer, Bigazzi, etc) to run in the DTM or other high level national series. Their next step was to go to a second tier DTM team when the factory teams got new chassis each year and sold off their old cars. No team was so flush with money that they could just sit on an old car if there was some cash to be made to fund the current car.

The Jagermeister, Tic Tac and Diebals Alt cars all were probably hand me downs from factory teams.

From there they kept going down the racing food chain. It was the rare car that rolled right into a museum. As they kept going down the chain, in order to meet the rules of whatever class the car was to be raced, some of the trick parts were probably taken off, or modified to meet the rules of the class. Some were raced in hillclimbs or other events were the rules would allow the cars to be modified beyond the strict rules of the original DTM.

Then eventually the car would get balled up beyond repair in whatever motorsport contest it was in.

You don't see many street E30 m3s converted to race cars that have air jacks and centerlock wheels. So this diebals alt car with Webber is probably a true ex-DTM car.

The design I used was from the Minichamps 1:18 scale model. The driver (Schmickler) only entered a couple of races that year, but they still made a model of the car. Go figure.

Prairie dust is my favorite, with black a close second. Whatever color wins the poll, I'll take two please.

All 4 colors will eventually be available. I'm just trying to get a read on what percentage of each I should order.

I'm curious as to what other M team shirts you still have available? I'm looking for black XL's no more then one of each design. Shoot me a PM if you get a few minutes and let me know what you got, I can shoot you some $$$ on paypal.

                      Thanks

I know without looking that I don't have any black shirts in stock.

For those that don't know the routine on these shirts, I do a different design once per year. And have done 5 or 6 shirts over the past few years. This project is done in conjunction with the E30 Picnic.

I take orders, get the shirts made, ship the shirts out. No extra inventory. So if you want something, jump on the order window when the opportunity is there.

That being said, I will start a new thread in early June when it is time to start taking orders. I'll give everyone a couple weeks to submit their orders. I'll then get the shirt vendor to print the shirts here in Seattle, and sometime in early to mid July the shirts will mail out.

If you don't want to chance missing the announcement, send me an e-mail offline at Lance@Richertnet.com. Provide your real name and prefered e-mail and I will add you to my e-mail notice list. No screen names please.

Invariably somebody always asks me in September if there are extra shirts and I usually have to say no. Don't let that be you! :)

Sorry, can't help you there. I don't screen the shirts, and the order is too complicated as it is for me to handle custom blank shirts being sent to me.
