Why the hell would you polish with steel wool? That's just going to leave little scratches everywhere!
Buy yourself a good polishing compound and use a regular soft cloth and put some elbow grease in there..

it doesnt scratch it if you have a very fine steel wool, all those polishing compounds dont do as good as steel wool.

yes thats what they will look like but I think you should just polish up the lips real nice and leave the insides the way they are.
