Convertible owners... do you know what this rear window cover thing is for?

I am trying to figure out if this is a rear window cover you put on the outside of the car to block the sun or if this is a rear window protector of some sort which you install when you have the top folded down for extended periods of time.

    TIA for any information

You put it on the outside, the heavy sack kind of things go in the front part of the trunk and the other straps hang onto the top right behind the rear windows.

Have you made a purchase from www.blunttech.com recently?

I thought you put it on for when its parked outside and there is snow/freezing rain.
