I might be getting a job at Ground Control

Well, my gf's cousin works at GC up in Shingle Springs, about 10-15 minutes from my house. Apparently he's gonna be quitting because he wants to move to SF with his wife and pursue a life down there. He has been asking about me, considering I am studying mechanical engineering, and knows I'm into tuning. Hopefully this will work out and I might become a GC hookup for the board. :) We'll see.
I retired my E30 for now...

Impossible. All are mid 20's with money and an attitudes. Although, I had a very pleasant experience with them. It is tough to treat a customer bad when you are right in their shop.

Atiitudes for sure, as I was searching on Bfc I couldn't believe the amount of fights that came up between the GC guys and Motor-Force. Very unprofessional. It also took me about 2 weeks of calling them to get through and order my stuff.

Their website is approaching being accurate though, that new store may lead to something worthwhile.

Ive gotten in arguments with Dale on more than one occasion. Not a very nice or professional guy at all. The last couple of times I had to deal with them, I just asked for Jay (the owner, and a pretty cool guy).

i do. he's gonna show me solidworks and i'll be apprenticing under him if they happen to hire me. he taught himself, so i'm gonna go that same route. i'm good with teaching myself computer apps (i taught myself how to use a few cryptic dos based programs for creating music, and i'm teaching myself pshop)

We have a local CCA chapter member, Ali, who works up there and he loves it. He drives a neat 2002.

Like I said, he's a chapter club member and a really nice guy. He arraged a tour for the club (prior to his getting a job there) of Ground Control. Jay spoke to us about chassis dynamics and how suspensions work. Really interesting stuff.
