went to Coney Island (Brooklyn, NY) with my kid on Sat, it was a lot of fun, more than what I expected, The Wonder wheel was lots of enjoyment, we were laughing like 3 year olds ...

anyway, as we were walking out, we saw all these guys coming in, it was wild, the whole scene is like from a movie

I have no idea why, but I absolutely LOVE the whole "lowbrow" rat rod scene. Cool pics man!

Gotta wonder how some of those can still get licensed to drive on public roads. I guess they get grandfathered in.

                    PA Inspection Law:

"Street Rod: A motor vehicle, or a reproduction thereof, with a model year of 1948 or older which had been materially altered or modified, by the removal, addition or substitution of essential parts and with a gross weight or registered gross weight of not more than 9,000 lbs"

Subchapter E goes on to further say that any reconstructed passenger car must have headlights between 12 and 30 inches from the flat level surface the vehicle is resting on, and reconstructed trucks must have headlights between 16 and 30 inches from ground level.

Basically if you register it as a street rod in PA, it only has to have the lights that came with the car, and some kind of bumper and it can pass.

I don't know the law in NY, but I would assume as far as street rods go it's pretty close.

Can anyone tell I just passed my PA Inspection License Test? :)

thanks, I love the technology, the i-phone does the trick, no need to carry the camera around anymore :)
