EMERGENCY!!! Car door will not close!

My friend is trying to sell his E30 in about an hour and the latch inside the door will not close when he shuts the door! HELP! ???

try greasing and actuating the locking mechanism with a screwdriver. Also check to see if the inner latch is not stuck/jammed up

The latch isn't jammed, and I can move it with my finger. Just won't catch when I close the door :( so gangster. When I turn the door flies open.

Pull on the exterior door handle, that should pop it back in place.

Is it a new door or something?

grease the latch up and slam it shut. Or just be up front w/ the buyer and point it out first thing.
This is much better than buyer finding out and feeling like you're trying to pull one over on him.

I tried to pull the exterior door hadle, and tried to lock it. I did everything common sense would suggest.

That use to happen in my 6 series, I would hit it with a solid object opposite way and it would go back

Ive had that happen. It had to do with the locks and the actuators.
