what's your opinion on BFG T/A KD tires?

So, i just got a pair for my rears on my 928. I think they're 225/50/16 or something like that.

    I HATE THEM. THEY SUCK.

They have SO much grip, it makes my clutch slip to try to spin them off the line. I obviously need a new clutch because I have a twin-disk and it should be able to handle plenty of power... but cmon, the BFG T/A KDWS I had before could be spun all day long. I can't get my car into the proper RPMs quick enough to get good 0-60 times or anything like that. The amount of difference is simply nuts.

SO... with all that in mind, if you need sticky street tires, these seem to be an option. Unfortunately, they aren't cheap... they ran me about $165 each. I think once I upgrade my clutch disks, i'll have more fun.

I don't think I have ever heard anyone complain about a tire being too sticky. Especially when concerning 0-60 times. USUALLY, they complain because there is not ENOUGH traction? :?

They set lateral-G records left and right for street tires. Awesome stuff.

The general consensus that I've gathered from them is that they rock for dry surface traction, but are horrible for wet weather conditions; hence why BFG made the KDWs which are much better in the wet stuff.

So why are you trying to spin your tires? Waste of rubber.

not really... depending on how your car is setup, you might need to spin your wheels a little to get it in proper operationg RPMs. Light wheel spin at launch is usually the most optimal way to get good 0-60 and 1/4mi times. As soon as you get into your power-band, you'll stay in it with every shift. Seriously, on my car its worth almost a full second to be able to spin the wheels a little.

I was making a joke earlier... Yes, these tires rock. I just need to figure out how to use them better.
