How much are sport seats worth?

I am talking with a guy locally with a mint set of Tan leather sport seats that was just redone (so mint). What are these worth? My car is tan now, so this is nice. He said all seat mechanisms were redone, etc and they do look nice. He was asking $600 for the pair.

What is a good price for a basically new set of sport seats? What does it cost to recover a old set?
    thanks!

I had 1 seat recovered and the bolsters done. Just kept the original center sections. Cost me $350 for 1 seat and I got to pick the leather. If they are mint and you like tan, it's a good deal. A nice fresh sport seat is real nice on the rear end.

$600 seems a little high even if they are mint, however if you like it and think its worth it then definitely go for it!

I know I got a good deal but I paid 275.00 for a set of black recovered sports seats. I think they weren't recovered in leather though but they look real good. Here is a picture of the passenger seat. They both look this good though. They look a litt dirty in the picture. In real life the look better than the picture. I had to drive from Fort Worth to Tulsa to get them.

Seems to me you might be able to find a cheaper set of tan seats in good condition if you are patient and you keep your eyes and ears open. Tan sport seat are a lot more common than other colors.

600 bucks is way too much. Use that money for something way cooler.... Serious dude? Are you really gonna drop that much money (thats a ton of money to spend on seats) on sport seats that you can find somewhere else for way less...
That seller is going to laugh his ass off alllllllll the way to the bank....

reupholstering seats and having perfectly function 'mechanicals' will cost you more than 600 dollars depending where you go and etc. If you want new seats then this is actually a good price... goof.

You've never bought seats have you? They sound perfect and local, price is right.

exactly, and besides when you're driving a car you're sitting in the seat 100% of the time... unless you're some crazy chinese acrobat... so they are an important cool feature brah!

Agree - $600 isn't bad if new leather and mechanicals inside. Have you ever priced out the seat shocks - of which, each seat needs four??

I was able to get a set of beat up sport seats with good mechanicals for $50. I figure I'll spend upwards of 500 getting them reupholstered so your price seems fair.

I paid $400 for a complete black leather sport interior with rear ski pass through seat, door panels and grey carpet.
