at least in my car, the brake switch is sensitive enough that i can press down the brake pedal to turn on the brake lights, and not engage the brakes. It's come in useful.

Only asking because the gray market cars I had that were imported from Germany all only had it on the left side (drivers).

I believe it was only one side so you don't confuse those following behind into thinking they were brake lights stuck on.

i've confirmed the fact that there are 2 rear fogs from about 5 different sources.

A lot of companies have their cars with only 1 rear fog (Volvo) but BMW (at least e30's) had two rear fogs. I asked everybody on e30zone.net and they have two rear fogs on. they are very strict about only using them in fog where you can't see 20 feet in front of you though

a lot of people will manually take the bulb out of one side or have the dealer unwire the right side so there is only a rear fog on the side the driver is but from factory it was on both sides

yeah i cant stand retards like you either. regardless if it was a residential neighborhood the logical thing to do would be to pull over and stop to let him by. let the local cops get him for speeding. you encite possible road rage or worse. you dont know who you are messing with, it could be the type of person to run you off the road, pull you out of your car and beat you senseless. but im sure you thought about that right?

you remind me of this dick on I5 north last night. im cruising at 80 in a 65 in the passing lane, far left on a 3 lane freeway. this moron in his SUV is doing 70ish. i come up behind him, he has a open middle lane for miles, i flash my brights at him real quick twice, he brake checks me. and he hit the brakes hard enough the front end dropped hard on the car. ok so now im pissed, but i have someone coming up on my right. now the dipshit speeds up and gets over. i want to see what this fucker looks like so i speed up, now he speeds up even more so i cant get next to him. i look down and were going close to 100mph. so i slow back down and hit the cruise at 80 again. he gets into the slow lane and gets stuck behind a semi and takes the exit. i stick my hand out the sunroof and flip him off as i go by and hes looking at me. truth be told i had some cupcakes in the back seat i wanted to catch him and put one or three right in his windshield and pray he lost control into the ditch.

I do that in my car just by lightly tapping the brake to trigger the switch. I noticed in my mk5 though with drive by wire, it will cut my throttle out though lol.

My Grey market 1986 325ic Mtech1 only had one rear fog. It was picked up new from the factory too.
You may be incorrect about twin rear fogs...
Maybe some models got two IDK, but mine that was straight off the assembly line and into the first owners hands had 1 rear fog.

Basically just brake check the fucking shit out of them so they slam into me and I can collect on the insurance. There is NO reason to tail gate someone, ever. Especially when you are in the right/middle lane on a 4 lane freeway with no traffic doing 70.

i'm not really seeing how your story makes you look any better than japandrew. you tell him he should just pull over and let him pass when he is doing the speed limit in a residential area. technically, you were speeding, and shouldn't expect people who are already doing the speed limit or higher to move out of your way. if you really must get in front of them, why not change lanes and go around? why even bother to flip him off? that just makes you seem like an asshole, too.
