it took me almost three months to get my activation email after i paid me $5. I also thought it would be cool to buy some e30tech stickers..... OH MY GOD was that a mistake. I emailed every god damn administrative link on that site and i never once got an answer. i must have emailed every week for 4 months and received no response. one day ONE of the stickers showed up in the mail... I ordered three. I'm still emailing them to get my paypal money back or some more goddamn stickers.

It's not even like it was a lot of money, it's just the damn principle. Matt (mr325) got my my r3v stickers in 4 days, and they got mailed from California all the way to the east coast. now thats service

I paid my $5 and it took over 3 months before any administrators confirmed that I paid. Then, it took even longer to finally be able to post. This, after many emails inquiring about my $5. Each email had a progressively angrier tone. Not that the $5 was a big deal but the administrators are a bunch of lazy jackasses.

Then, you'll need 25 posts before you can post in the For Sale section.

I like e30tech for a lot of reasons, but I do find it appalling to pay for access. They already lost lots of sponsors, and that site is quickly dying away.

It's a shame, I have a huge bookmark folder of all favorite projects, and it would be a great loss to e30 community to see that site deteriorate. Anyhow, I haven't posted there for nearly 8 months, but I still enjoy browsing through there.


Also, the entire r3v vs e30tech need to stop. Each site has a slightly different demographic.
1. r3v is more community oriented, with big emphasis on bringing new members into this special club. There's lots more goofing off here, and Off-Topic rains supreme, because people come here to have fun with fellow e30 enthusiasts, ergo post-whore and such.
2. e30tech is more technical oriented, and not as much fun after a hard day at work. From mechanical perspective, it's a superior site, but from a comunity perspective, r3v is the place to be. e30tech fails when it comes to building a strong network. Especially when people like Stuck use reputation system as a personal vengeance tool.


If anything, we should try to transfer as much knowledge from e30tech to r3v as possible, before that database disappears off the face of internet.

^^^ I'm in complete agreance with this. I know i'm a n00b (to THIS site) but i have heard this very same argument on local euro enthusiast sites as well. The are very technically drivin which is good cause alot of knowleadge comes from things like that. However it shouldn't just be like that. Bottom line we're all enthusiasts!!

Go to the left of the screen where it says "USER CP" Click it.

Go down on the left to where it says "PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS" Click it.

Now look for the spot that says. "Josh Q Registered Member"

Pay 5.00 and you can now post.

Wow this thread has been out for a while and all of a sudden today it exploded. Thanks for the interesting reading atleast from some of you. It is sad that the people who run e30tech can't figure out how to run a site.

My ground down calipers?? You mean caliper brackets? That was atleast 2 years ago and there was nothing wrong with them. Worked flawless for me and many other people. Why dont you think of something new instead of hanging on myballz all the time. If you dont care about e30tech then why would you even click on the link?
