    PPL running OEM m3 springs/shocks

I was curious about those who are currently running OEM m3 shock/springs. Though they are typically designed for the e30 m3, how does it feel on your car? Does it parallel with the original ride, as well as comfort, quality of your car?

I would really appreciate honest feedback. I know in most cases, for example, someone riding on HR springs would say its comfortable to them even though in reality that person realizes it doesn't compliment the comfort aspect at all but rather only the handling of it (with respect to each and their own of course).

My main concern is that, I'm trying to preserve the ride quality of a regular e30 while dropping the car slightly.

bavauto springs are respectably low, and not too harsh, i have them on my car with bilstein sports

Reason #1 why you DON"T want he stock ride quality is your oilpan. Stock spring rates are just not safe anywhere, so even the M3 springs are firmer.

Have you driven many E30s with decent springs/shock? I love the ride quality of mine, even my wife is OK with it. The typical H&R/Bilstein combo is WAY too harsh for me.

I have Bilstein sports on m3 springs and its perfect.
I would never bomb bumps but out freeways are horrible and its just fine.

you wont be dissapointed as they range from 90-110 dollars.

I don't understand why anyone would run this setup for how little you can get Vogtland + KYBs for, to be honest.

with respect, it is a matter of personal preference.

I've been sold on the idea about m3 springs based on a number of factors. spring rate, modest lowering, least amount of compromise between handling and comfort while still maintaining, as close as can be, a factory feel.

I just recently bought a 325is and i'm trying to restore everything, as close as factory settings as possible with subtle visual refreshers. Had I bought my car with the intention of tracking, thats a totally different story of course.

I recently installed m3 springs with the stock( is )shocks and I am very happy with them.
They made a noticeable difference in height and it handles better,we have some really piss poor roads in my area(pot holes frost heaves etc.) and I would not call this set up uncomfortable at all.

good feedback, so you would say that the OEM shocks are sufficiently valved/dampened for the M3 shocks and thus no additional oscillation or bouncing in contrast to the original set up?

On my e46, I used to run Dinan springs which were one coil less (about an inch) than my stock springs on stock shocks, however it yielded a lot more bouncing because it wasn't dampened well (of course that is to say the spring rate is significantly different as well)

Also everyone that are running this set up, What bumpstops did you use?

M3 bump stops? original bumpstops? or original bumpstops that are trimmed
