yeah konis are an insert, you gotta cut open your tubes then drill a big hole in the bottom of the strut tube to bolt the insert down tight using a big bolt.

Find out if euro m3's used big diameter springs like 95 m3. That would mean all you need is 95 m3 konis or bilsteins. Bilsteins come as a complete strut assembly by the way. IIRC you have 96-99 m3 struts on your car? if his spring perch is the same size as yours then you can get any 96-99 koni or bilstein. If it's big like a non m e36 then he needs 95 m3 parts like I said before.

If you want used bimmerforums is probably a better bet

Drill the bottom first. The cut off tops. I did mine over the winter for my Ti. Major improvement over the crap some one sold me.

Exercise gas charged shocks what a comment.

I have 318ti struts in my car and I dropped my Koni inserts that were used in my stock suspension on my e30 days back.

The Euro should be the same as the US version, I do not have the strut perch to messure it. I need a complete set of either, Bilstein or Konis for this Euro m3 e36 wich rides on it's stock height. Where is a good place to look at for Bilstein struts/rear shocks with good prices?

TCkline has good prices on Konis. Now gotta compare against Bilstein.
