Help, i think i need a new slave cylinder

Well this morning i went out to my car and i went to put the clutch in and.... absolutely no resistance, it will pop back up but it takes NO effort to push. I checked for leaks and it looks like something is dripping down and following a line down the transmission, does this sound right? So i searched and it looks like i need to replace the slave and master cylinder, i need to get this workin and just wanted to check before i ordered it.

    Thanks for the help

Sounds like a master cylinder in this case, but slave cylinders go out on most e30s so might as well do that too. Fortunately autozone stocks lifetime warranty slaves and they're pretty cheap.

Yeah, I had my master go out a few months ago. My pedal would just stick to the floor though. Maybe get up in there and make sure it's not just a bad line. If its a leaky slave you can see it pretty easily. But as far as that goes, if one goes out, the other is soon to follow. Replace both.
