    e46 from a distance

noticed this 2 days ago, and im bored so i figured id post about it...

i was watching an e46 drive by me the other day and as it got further away the taillights started to appear to wrap around the rear fenders and about 10 seconds after it passed me the rear end looked just like a new 5 series or 6 series. maybe where bangle got his "inspiration" from? has anyone else ever noticed this?

I'm pretty sure Bangle was the head designer when the e46 came out. I think that was the first car brought to production under his management.

Didn't he have a big hand in the E36?

probably, but he didnt become chief designer until 1992. the first e36's were starting to pop up in 91 and the design was probably created a year or so before that
