Jesus what a pain in the ass!!! F*cking tumbler took a sh*t!

I just had to vent! I got back from Cali SPeedway to my house and when I went to tuen it on so I could take it back to its garage, the fucking key wont turn in the ignition!! FIrst time thing!! The ///M3 has a lot less miles than the 325 and it happened. Now Im wondering when the 325's will go! Anyways, I towed it to TNG and theyre working it out.

No asshole, the key wont turn. As if youre inserting the wrong key. The wheel unlocks but it wont go further. Thanks for the tip though, haha. ;)

thats weird, my brothers e34 540i used to do that when the car was on a weird incline or it was wheel locked at a weird angle.

Close driver's door, go in through passenger's door and press the lock pin on the driver's door. :)

Then close passenger's door and lock car through passenger side.

I know because my track car is like that right now :p

I thought that when the tumbler is broken, the key spins around, right? There is zero resistance and the key will spin 360 degrees. At least that's what happened with my parent's E34 once, best of luck man.

My driver side door doesn't lock either. I've been too lazy to pull off the door card and figure out why.

My ignition tumbler locked up on me a few years ago when I was in New Orleans. I had the car towed to the nearest BMW mechanic and had to have the entire tumbler replaced. Luckily he was nice enough to rebuild it and set it for the brand new original key he ordered from the Dealership. took a few days but it was worth it. I think I needed a new ignition switch as well.
