    Quarter Glass Woes

My quarter panels are starting to piss me off. They are both very shaky due to a loose connection. Both the left and right are this way.. The right side is loose at the bottom and the left is loose at the top. How exactly can i repair these? They make this awful rattling sound when driving and i'm worried about someone pulling it off when im parked.

well first off--what your having issue with is the quarter glass not the quarter panel.

looks like you are needing new weather-striping.

if I had this veiw out my glass nothing would be a problem.

the bracket that is on the B pillar is supposed to fit into the glass trim 1st off.
next you will need to remove the window from the car, reinstall the trim, then reinstall everything in the car. if your seal is not crap, that should solve your problem.

Your going to need to replace the whole window on each side of your car.
The reason that its broke off is because the part of the window frame that it pivots on snapped.
So your going to have to replace the whole window or find someone in your area to weld aluminum..
If you look inside your car at the top above the seat belt there is a clip. Take that off and there is an 8mm bolt in side there that holds the window frame.
Right below that there is a cap. Pull that off and there is an 8mm bolt inside there too.
Then take out the 2 screws back by the back window and the whole unit will pop out.
You might want to get help so you dont drop the window or scratch your paint.

All you need to do is rivet the metal tabs to the quarter glass. Remove the inside "b" pillar trim. There should be two bolts to remove each of the metal tabs. Then rivet to the outside trim, then re install. You need to be careful when removing the quarter glass from the inside though. have a friend hold it as you unbolt it. I think they are 9mm or 10s... I can't remember. What I can remember is doing this, it is a simple matter of rivets.

Not sure what I used. i would buy a multi kit, you never know when you will need to use them. Be careful not to drop the nut down you b-piller when unscrewing the clips. I suggest using a small piece of gum on the end of your socket or something, or you can use The Right Stuff.
It only took me 30 minutes a side BTW.

A box of both, return the box you don't use.
