going to get it running better

Well I would like a 4 door but for now I have this 2 door and I have decided that as long as I have it I need to get it running better. So this is what I have on the list of things to do for the summer:

-Muffler/Exhaust from the cat back (its pretty loud)
-check my check engine codes and do what is needed
    -new rear shocks (they creek)
-new rear shoes (they squeal sometimes)
-new coolant temp sensor (surging at start up)
-new seat covers (seats are a little beat up and the sheep skins are old, and the covers I got for Christmas don't do the job)
-need at least one fog light or will replace them with cheap-o lights
-new wires/cap/button (did the plugs and set the gap last spring
-oil and filter change (oil pan plug leaks so I have been avoiding it)
-air filter change (it is still pretty clean)
-another good wash/wax of the car
    -maybe detail the motor/engine bay

Looks like a big list and some of it is pricey. I would also like to replace the bushings for my gear shifter but the bushing kit seems kind of expensive as well. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. Any thing I should add to the list?

    Thanks.

If you have a scanner for your car by any chance i can run the codes for you..i have the program, or if you need the price etc.

check your rear upper shock mounts before you replace your shocks, they can cause a creaking noise, and are a lot cheaper than shocks. your e-brake shoes are squealing? or are you talking about pads? I'd replace the rotors too if you're replacing the pads, and while you're down there I'd flush the brake fluid, if it hasn't been done in a year
