this may seem liek a silly question but... where do you guys put all the wires? liek the loom on the drivers side of the engine bay?e30sport.net

I had a some what shaved and tucked bay on my car. I was still missing a lot of parts in this photo like the M3 wire harness cover and some other little things.
I never did take any photos after I was done with it..
There are photos of one floating around with a lot of work into it. But I cant seem to find it any more.Comment

Them bays are nice!!
I never welded anything on mine, I leave the seam sealer because its dumb not to actually. As for the wire......
I used hose clamps so there was no chance of it falling down.
Everything reaches like this but the ABS wires..
So I cut and made them longer and ran them like this..

Why do you think its dumb not to leave the seam sealer?Comment

1. Change your hose clamps to plastic cable clamps, so the vibration doesn't cause damage to the wire
2. before you use a butt connector under the hood, squirt a dab of silicone in the ends of the connector...waterproof FTW!Comment

^ good idea for sure. I always go for soldering and heat shrink because it looks better, is automatically weather tight (assuming you use quality shrink) and it's really satisfying.Comment
