"What are you taking in school" thread was inspired by the Hobbies thread. Inspired by these two threads, I became curious as to what kinda work you do now to afford your habits (school, car, booze, car parts, booze etc).

I'm currently a cook at a popular restaurant. Funnest job so far. Teaching snowboarding is cool because you get a free pass, but i hated putting up with people who coud barely stand up - some frustrating stuff.

I am the director of operations for a company called Netlive. We built a proprietary video chat platform using Flash Communication Server and designed a few proof-of-concept sites around it to raise VC and generate interest. Basically I work with our CEO to develop marketing strategies and build relationships with potential partners and investors.

I started out as a lacky intern for Allied Signal (now Honeywell) about 10 years ago. Intern -> helpdesk -> IT -> sysadmin -> director of IT -> online sales -> sales manager - director of operations.

Structural Design Engineer for the largest corporate jet mod and completion company in the country. A large part of our business is with Bombardier aircraft.

i'm a super for a general contractor. pays good money and i do really nothing but babysit other contractors, read plans and run some heavy equipment.

I work for Uncle Sam, have since 1986. I also have worked a variety of other Minor and Major jobs. Due to Aviation industry shake up I am going to retrain next year.

I am a nanny for 3 different families here in Washington DC. I also have done a lot of teaching of music and art to pre-schoolers and their parents.

I will be going to Massage therapy school as soon as I move to Nashville to FINALLY get certified. I have a dear friend that is HUGE in Nashville and is my greatest back rub fans. He has promised to refer me all over the place. It is the only way I would go into massage therapy, (a built in referral network) it is much to difficult to build a business for yourself otherwise. It is an extremely saturated market. That's a shame, because the truly gifted masseurs, like myself ;), have a hard time finding work when MT's are a dime a dozen.

I have two part-time jobs and full time uni

1. Automotive Service Tech @ Active Green + Ross
(My uncle owns the Franchise) He signed me up for the Aprentiship program also, interest free $800 to buy tools from the gov!
Im jus doing it as a Hobby.

2. Hewlett Packard. Territorial Marketing Rep.
Basically I go around to futureshops and Bestbuys and promote HP. only reason i took the job is bcus it pays 1.5 times my other one.
