Memphis area people?

Anybody from around the Memphis, Tn area? If so, post on here or shoot me a PM, I've got some questions about the housing & apartment markets down around there.

Okay, fine, Tennessee people, I know you guys are out there.

GImme an idea, where are the decent apt/townhome areas around the memphis area of the state.

By "decent", I mean "white".

I'm in TN but remeber TN is a LONG state, Memphis is a 5-6 hour drive I believe. I think Skagfrog is the closest being in Nashville, some of the KS, MI guys may no better.

Yea, I know. I'm familiar with Eastern TN and I've been to the Nashville area a number of times, but I've never really been down to Memphis. It looks like I have a possible job offer down there, and I'm just trying to cover some bases.

Germantown area. My grandparents live there. If you want a little cheaper but still not shitty you can check one of the burbs like Bartlett. That is where the rest of my family lives.

North Memphis and South Memphis are ghettos, but I don't think you need to worry about that if you live in the burbs.

Everyone has heard not so good things about Memphis. One thing you wont hear that about is the food.

I can tell you if you are racist you might not wanna move there but if you move to the suburbs its damn beautiful. Charlie if you can get digs in Germantown you wont be dissapointed at all.

Plus its not a far drive form Corky's. Interstate is a bit father but I think Interstate sucks compared to Corky's anyway. And well, if you dont like barbeque, then the terrorists have already won.
