Anybody into nascar?

I, for one find it boring as hell, but thats not why i posted. I recently got a hold of a pretty sweet find, and of course, took advantage of it. I have pretty much one side of a NASCAR Race truck, after race, and also a rear bumper of one. Was going to put them up on the wall in the garage, cuz they'd look pretty cool up there, but am thinking about selling them for parts money .. and i have no idea what something like this is worth! any knowlegable ppl know the going rate for one of these?
Im still trying to figure out who the driver was on the car. it is the number 60, and is signed with "bristol '98'" underneath.



Heres the bumper. and the black things, are actually chunks of asphalt embedded in the bumper

We have a NASCAR Ford at school shop (donated to us), and I envy guys who get to work with those parts and equipment. I never liked NASCAR until I saw how those cars are built, and since, I've been more respectful of those guys.

Yeah I'm sure the cars are built well, but it's still boring as shit. I wouldn't bother selling that side panel, (Where did you get it?) I'd just stick it on the wall in the garage and call it a day.

It's not only cars. I think it has a lot to do with how you watch it or what you find interesting. I really like technology behind race teams, and home teams plan out every track and strategies. I know it seems like just circles, but tire wear, fuel consumption, and all other calculations make or brake every team. It's a lot more complicated than just circles.

The only vice about this sport is the fan base (generalization based on living in North Carolina). I'm glad to live in NASCAR country, but it gets really annoying to see so many nut jobs with painted v6 Monte Carlos and Lightning F150s, who think they own pro-stock machines and burn tires every chance they get.

i hear its insane and tons of fun to get piss drunk on bud light and yell with a ton of red necks. i hope to do it some day :)

If you've never been trackside with a 700hp v8 engine screaming by 12' away, you won't understand.

Oh and FWIW, those cars are built with far more sophisticated technology than you guys think.

ill agree they sound cool as hell and going to a race is actually fun if you can overlook the general crowd that attends these events. i went to darlington with my dad many years back and we had a blast but the toothless drunks vomiting bud light in the stands and the "yee haws" got old real quick. call me snobby but some of these fucking fans are like inbred new hampshire residents
