It pee'd on my tire

So I just installed my Ireland Engineering shock mounts two days ago and now my rear passenger shock is completely wasted. It leaked out all the fluid and has no rebound at all. What are the chances that this was caused by installing the new shock mounts?

if they were about to die and the stiffer mounts just pushed them over the edge, yes. they did not really cause their demise though.

Thats what I thought. Because my other shock mounts were in really rough shape. Time to find some new shocks and struts all around.
