    It's the only thing that makes sense. The car was completely locked up at work. I don't smoke or anything so I don't know what else could have caused it.

    the elements are in the seat bottoms and backs, and the pics don't really show the origin of the fire coming from those points, are you sure it was electrical ?

    Ummmmm, started at the bolster? They don't even have heating elements.... unless maybe the actual wires to the heating elements grounded on the seat frame? But then again, why would they have voltage if the car was off...

    I'm sure it wasn't vandalism. The car had been sitting off for nine hours and it was still all locked up when I came out.

    sure it wasnt vandalism? seats should be off with ignition. seeing that you have a convertible you probably didnt have to put the seat in yourself correct?
