    I've mounted 38" tires on 16" rims for our old UPS guy before, for his jeep. Couldn't get the bead to pop with the mounter so we used some brake cleaner. Worked great.

      It's nothing new. Although he did go through quite the process to hold the rim in place. Usually we just use a little brake cleaner and we're good.

          Ive seen people do this on motorcycle rims, wanting to get a fat loook, however, often, the tire ends up looking a bit narrow compared to the stick tire cause its bending to fit into the rim
