    My new little project

Hey whats up guys? New to the forum here and fairly new to the E30 world. I picked up a little 325e 1985 for $1000 dollars and cleaned it up some. I would like to say that I love this car now. I had a performance shop in Orlando for the past few years and recently shut it down to move to South Florida (Fort Myers) to open up another little shop. I have driven so many fast cars but there is just something about this little car.

Well, looking around on Craigslist, I found a 1996 328i for sale for CHEAP. I went and picked it up today for $1000 dollars. It was a little banged up on the left side but thats not why I wanted it anyways. I figured I would just grab all the parts out (engine, possible 5 lug swap, rims) and just part out the rest of it then scrap the shell.

Not sure if I can make the 5 lug swap work but I know the engine will go in with no problems.

Just wanted to say hello on here though and I will update it. I have a GT35R sitting here that I will probably toss on it for fun when the new engine is ready. Thanks guys!!

tuck your bumpers and spray them flat black, that would make your car look 67740064x better.

and btw, im moving down to orlando in a few months, we might have to meet up sometime.

Yeah I was going to tuck the bumpers and spray them black too. I keep seeing the small differences on the cars that look good and the cars that don't. I actually have the paint sitting in the front seat. Tucked bumpers and no more chrome trim.

tucked bumpers are good for a while. you need to source some plastic bumpers whenever you get a chance, it makes a world of difference! Great finds and I can't wait to see how it all comes out!

Yeah, I am trying to build this car on a tight budget just to do so. I have owned/worked at a performance shop for the past 3 or 4 years so its so easy to just grab some parts off the shelf and install them. Even at my dead cost, it adds up to thousands and thousands of dollars.

So far I have $1100 into the E30 and paid 1000 for the E36. Want to get all the parts off and sell everything off the E36 that I don't need and try to get back to even.

Can I use the parts from the E36 for the 5 lug conversion?

Thanks! I hate when I get deals like this sometimes because I will just sit there and add up all the parts in my head all night and not sleep well at all.

for the front, yes. for the rear you will need 318ti stuff.

read through this subforum for more info on 5-lug (search feature helps a lot), and welcome to the forum.
