    Lost pressure in AC.

While pulling up to about 5000 rpm the other day in 2nd gear, I heard a loud pop that sounded like a snare drum. The radio was pretty loud, so I could not really pinpoint the source.

24 hours later, I notice AC is not cooling at all. Get home and discover there is no pressure in the AC lines at all.

So, I know there is a pressure-relief somewhere in the system that will blow first in case of over-pressure. But, I forget where that is (car is an 89 325i). Can anyone point me where to start looking for the hole that I blew in the system?

if you've got access to nitrogen (or even compressed oxygen) and a set of gauges, you will find it really quick. i guess you could start with a visual inspection. probably blew a seal
