Also, you quoted mostly new prices....................
These are 21 year old parts with unknown history.
The motor sells for about $3500 in complete working condition regardless of what people think they are worth. S38B38, S50B32, S62 and S54 engines are the only ones selling above $5k in good used condition.
What's this E30 M3 worth?

Here's some little info for those of you throwing out numbers like $1500....
(keep dreaming kids!)
New OEM bumper cover from BMW - ~$850
New 5 Lug M3 Suspension from BMW - ~$3500
New Front fenders from BMW - ~$325/ea
Used S14 Core for rebuild - ~$2500
M3 Interior in decent condition - ~$1200
Now, it needs some rust repair. Big deal. The core support is getting replaced anyways, so you're doing paintwork no matter what.
I'd pay $5500-8500 for a car in that condition if the motor can be verified with under 100k miles.
You would be foolish to pay that much when non collision damaged examples sell for around 6k in similar condition with slightly higher mileage. It has rust and is not complete in the engine compartment. How long has it been sitting like that? Why are the belts off?
The 1500-2000 price idea is if it has a Bad motor and based on it's overall appearance. One good front fender and a bad motor is still a parts car or a race project........................
If the car has been left like this now....... How was it maintained before the collision? Were the valve adjustments done correctly? Water pump........etc. etc...
The question was not what the parts are worth on an M3, it was what is this M3 worth as a whole. You buy low to keep the parts you want and sell the rest to pay for it.Leave a comment:

How much is he/she asking for it? If you pass on it, I may be interested.Leave a comment:

So it seems the price can flex alot based on if the engine runs nicely or not, and if there is hidden rust or not.
And now i guess i will reveal that i am not a seller, but a potential buyer. So i am going to look at it next weekend, and will determine if there is more rust, and if the engine runs like the owner says it does.Leave a comment:

together: maybe a few (call it 4) thousand
pieces: more than that depending on condition
the motor can be sold for a good bit if its decent (the head can anyway)
cluster is a couple hundred
fenders are probably close to 1k
suspension is over 1k
in the end you'll make more money on the parts than the car as a whole
edit: i didnt notice the full washer bottle... thats big money thereLeave a comment:

It looks like it will need a lot more rust repair than what we can see in the pic. If the rear is rusted like that, I'm gonna venture and say the floor boards are in rough shape as well. You're going to be spending a good 4-5k in repairs, paint and prep, engine rebuild, and new parts. I wouldn't offer anything over 4k for it.Leave a comment:

Myself, I would stay between $5-6k. No more, even with the low miles. There is a lot of work there even though he is providing the parts. I'd be worried with the parts missing from the engine and the car just sitting. I would have to strip it down and go through the engine with a fine tooth comb. That and the rust issues. The car has definitely been wrecked, maybe not totalled but it was in an accident. The rust alone could create huge problems that could get ugly fast. All said and done though, it would be a great car when it was reassembled and running. Good luck.Leave a comment:

Looking at it again, I think its just the angle of the picture.Leave a comment:

Partable for good dollar amount, only worth as much as YOU want to pay for it. I would be cheap because it's gonna require work, but some one with resources and time might offer as much as 8. Reasonable mileage chassis and looks complete with parts to fix it... You never know.
My first one was 3.5K running, driving. Second one was 7.1K non op and required an engine. So....your math. I had a spare so the second was worth it. Now I have a spare 2.5L bottom end.Leave a comment:

The core support is trashed and the passenger side frame looks pushed in. I would offer him like 3k-4k.Leave a comment:

worth about $5k, especially that parts are included. Probably spend another $3k to fix it.
Not a bad deal.....if you pass up on it, I wouldn't mind adding another one to the stable ;)Leave a comment:

hmm...
the car still has the stock front bumper, as you can see in the pics, but needs to be painted or something.
And i think it needs a bunch of little crap between the kidneys and the motor.Leave a comment:
