    Here you go...that's an actual M20 motor, but it's in the same location on the M42.





    Now, if you're talking about the blower switch, that's located in the dash, behind the HVAC panel, where the radio, OBC and misc switches are located.
    Here's a picture of that..

      Is the cover pasted? And has 4 screws? So i need to remove the 4 screws that unglue the thing?

        remove any screws that are holding it down, but then it still might be kind of stuck to the firewall so you may need to pry it off with a screw driver. once you get to the point of undoing those plastic straps (and re-doing them) be careful, they're usually 20 years old and very brittle but you need to use quite a bit of strength to re-hook them.

          The M42 is a lot tougher to get to the blower as the intake is much closer to the firewall. You have to remove some of the wires and the wire housing just to get the blower out. It can be very frustrating not to break the fan blades while removing and then installing the new one, but it is doable!
          The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

            you guys are awsome.. Made my life totally easier, I found the blower and gave it a wack so it started working again. Ill leave it like that till i get a new one. Thanks alot for the pictures and the explanations, couldnt of asked for more.

            But it was tuff, I didnt take it out just hit it. Im going to have to take it out to replace it soon. thats another battle for another day.
