    Removing injectors???

This might sound stupid but how do you get the injectors off the intake manifold. I have them disconnected from the fuel rail but how do you get them off the intake. I have a m20b25 head and intake just preping it for a 2.7i. Thanks

Pull straight out/up and twist. It takes some force, so man up.

just use the good ol fashioned muscles, mr muscly arms

whatever you do, do not add any oil based liquid to it. it will ruin the seals.

when you get to re-installing the injectors, coat the o-rings with a light coat of motor oil

Ok they came right out. I just didnt want to start pulling on them and break something. They are a lil rusted on the outside what should I do about cleaning them or painting them?

Lube the Orings with a silicone based lube, NOT motor oil...and replace every damn one of them, including the orings on the FPR.

If you want a cheap source for good orings, go to NAPA for Ford orings.

'97 F150 should be a good call on "what kind of car is that, Sir?" bullshit.

yep, it'll cost $10 or $15 for all of them, if that

I use CRC Silicone Spray for lube

How will using engine oil hurt the orings?

Eh, I used some 10W30 I had laying around. Helped a LOT with reinstallation. I'm planning on replacing the orings and cleaning the injectors anyway, so it's not a huge deal.

Didn't know it would degrade the seals though.

Yea, I just did mine last weekend and used some random royal purple gear oil I had lying around.
FYI according the the pelican article on cleaning injectors it's ok to use engine oil...
