    It's that season...

It's almost december, and you guys know what that means...

    BIG SURF!!!
There was a northeast swell here that started wed. It's pretty much gone now, but the waves are still a good 2-4 feet bigger than before. Since I live on the west side of the island, me and my friend's jumped in a van (Honda Odyssey pwns) and drove 4 hours to the east side to enjoy the surf. Unfortunately all the beaches were closed, and they had people blocking all of them so you can't sneak down :( I guess they won't let the public go out and catch some 20 foot sets.

I didn't have my digi-cam, but my friend took these when he went on saturday. On saturday the waves were about 10 feet, with some occasional 15's. Friday (when I went) had 15's all day long, some occasional sets were passing 20 feet.

It is too cold for me to surf here in Long Beach. That is what snowboarding is for... and I thought that it was the season to give and get presents. Or maybe more like get lots of presents :P . But surfing is cool, I wounder how it is like in Hawaii during the winter. Gives a report after your first trip :)

It's like standing next to a 3 story building, then having the entire building turn into a wall of water, then make that building of water come charging at you. Now take the ground away and replace it with more water :P
