        It's a twin-cam 4.0L I6. It's a sick engine. A stock XR-6 only runs 5psi peak boost and it makes like ~320ft-lb and ~320hp at fairly low revs. Rev that motor high enough and with enough boost, that 1000hp figure seems very real.

        Ford will never bring that car to the U.S. But they should at least use that motor in something in their U.S. lineup. Like ditch the crappy 4.0L V6 in the base Mustang and Explorer and run the I6. At least n/a, but with boost would be even better.
