Brake fluid question

Im doing SS lines in a few months. So my question is... will DOT-3 brake fluid work until then? Thanks

What do you mean will it work until then? You mean you need to fill up the resivour and are wonder if DOT 3 will be all right? It will be fine as long as you don't have DOT 5 fluid in there now. DOT 5 can not be mixed with other DOT numbers, but all other can be mixed together. DOT 3 is more then quality enough unless you are doing some serious braking all the time.

lol.... I know I know. I can build a formula car from the frame up and its kinda sad but Ive just never had a good understanding of the differences in brake fluid.

Nitro... I never had DOT 5. It was DOT 4 I believe but I flushed all the old fluid out. So its only DOT 3 now.
