We ruled out scions just because they are butt ugly, especially that cube garbage.

We looked at a few rabbits, all 3 of them for sale here lol.... They were a bit more spendy than anything else, and just didn't stack up when you factored in warranties and mpg. I have a mk5 2.5 jetta and I can crack 28mpg at best. Supposedly the fit can do 38, but we will see what happens if he gets it.

Looks like most people are in favor of a fit. Probably going to take another look at it then. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing.

Because he came on here asking a pretty common sense question, so I provided the opposite of what he is looking for.

If this is really the direction the guy is going, he needs to pick up Consumer Reports and such, not ask a bunch of broke dick baggypants that can't afford to maintain their 20+ year old heaps.

    The Fit is go IMO.

If not that, then a MkV Rabbit (TDI or 2.5 5-cyl.) would be a pretty nice run-around.

mazda 3's aren't so great on gas.

    i vote honda fit.

and buddy, you are kidding yourself if you think e36 m3's are good on gas, lol. the best mileage i've gotten with my motor is 25mpg and that was 100% highway miles in kansas, not speeding. and he also mentioned wanting a warranty so the m3 is out.
