    Saw this today (e30 content)

I was at the salvage yard today when the owner made a comment on "oh, theres a BEEEmer like yours down the road, only its wider". I thought I'd venture to check it out. Parked beside a trailer I found this.

Naturally I was curious, I asked the owner (a 50 ish year old man missing a tooth...seriously I can't make this sh*t up!) about it. I was told it was a 1984. "Does it have a M20?" I asked, "No, it's got a supercharged 6 cylinder" I was told. Skeptical I said... "Sweet, can I see". And to my amazement, I was shown a m20 ,with a funky German in scripted intake with a supercharger. Man has owned it over a decade, but has never really driven it. (38,000kms). Told me he traded it for a dump truck in the early 90's

So, What is it? Wheels say KS (305's in the rear)

Don't you hate it when the owner of a car says something completely and utterly stupid and unbelievable and then they're right.

Interior was mint blue sport seats in blue plaid. Car is about an 1 1/2 hours away, I might be back. I didn't want to seem to eager to take pictures as he seemed a bit suspicious about my intentions. He said it was for sale, but wouldn't give me an asking price.

That's actually kinda cool, in a weird 80's sort of way.

I got the Idea he wanted alot more than I would offer. He said he had it appraised for 22,000 in 1998. (not sure if it was b.s., I already made the mistake of raising that flag before he lifted the hood)

That thing is actually pretty legit and with a few tweaks could be modernized.
I'd start with a huge drop followed by smaller profile tires.

You should seriously drop by next time you are in the area and take better/more pics.

And that $22k appraisal means jack shit.
I could get my stock E30 appraised for $30k and it does not mean that someone would ever pay that for it.
Best thing he could do with that appraisal is to get "stated value" insurance on it then report it stolen.
