    1990 325iS+$5k= what to buy?

Friend has a 1990 325iS and would like to put down $5k or less on a few modifications. What should he invest that into? he doesnt want to do the S50/52 yet.

        DITTO.
Actually, it's $5125. Not including installation (unless you do that yourself). Also not including the set of tires you'll go through once a month.

Suspension, brakes, and wheels. You can create one HELL of a badass suspension/brake/wheel combo on $5k.

              Exactly.

First replace any broken shit, or do any required maintence, and do the following.

Light 15" wheels, and sticky tires, Ground Control Suspension with Koni SAs, Treehouse Racing CAB replacements, Sparco Front Brace, Lukas Rear Brace, Suspension Techniques Swaybars, IE Rear billet swaybar reinforcement, RTRS bushings in the back, 4.10LSD, SS Brake Likes, ATE Power Discs, Performance Brake Pads, Mark D 93 Octane Chip, 19# Injectors, IE Short Headers, Custom 2.5" single pipe exhaust to Dynamax Super Turbo Muffler, Z4 3.0L shifter, Corbeau or Recaro seats,

............. if any of that $5K is left over, let us know.

Because a nicely setup car with just primarly a chip for HP would sure beat a stock suspended turbo'ed E30.

That is exactly what he is thinking of doing i think.

He is looking to get i think Ronal LS's or BBS RZ's anyone have any leads?

What rubber should he get and what kind of suspension should he get?

i should talk him into an E30 M3 lug setup with big brakes, what good big brake kits are there out there. when he was talkin about the S50 i was like "man you are going to kill yourself without some kind of bigger brakes" so what should he get?

Ronals are affordable and nice. BBS RZs are discontinued I believe, and not common.

                      I like Yoko ES100s.

Ground Control - we all eventually move to this anyhow. 8)

Forget big brakes, he won't need them because he won't be able to afford the S50 anytime soon.

What mods does his E30 already have? I think that makes a difference. Brew and I voted for the turbo kit seeing as how both of us have (well, I did have) E30s with good interiors and suspensions already. I was considering it that way.
If he has a bone stock 325is, then go for mainly suspension mods and maintenance items that would just keep the car in excellent working order.
You don't have to spend all that dough right now. FIX anything that's broken first. Then do the simple maintenance things, to prevent spending more money down the line when you're broke. Once everything is in excellent condition, worry about finding mods that suit your taste/driving style.

suspension first, and THEN a turbo. don't blow the whole budget on that, especially when he'll need a clutch, new headbolts, etc in addition...
